Facades and Beyond

De New-York a Hong-Kong ou Singapour, les lignes verticales des gratte-ciel et immeubles géants. Ces murs sont à la fois évocateurs d’une beauté abstraite et de l’enfermement, l’ensemble témoignant d’une cité ou l’humain semble avoir disparu. D’autres structures, bien plus sommaires, abritent aussi des humains Derrière le béton, les fenêtres et ces paysages urbains, quelle vie s'organise ?      

 

From New York to Hong Kong or Singapore, arise the vertical lines of their giants : buildings and skyscrapers.These walls evoke both abstract beauty and confinement ; the two overlooking a city where humans seem to have disappeared. Other buildings, far more rudimentary, also shelter families.  Behind this concrete, those windows and urban landscapes, what kind of life can there be?
